Installation Instructions

Only a qualified technician should perform this work. Changes in wiring or obvious shorting will void your warranty.

Since each application is different, mounting hardware is not furnished and the following are general instructions only. Your application will dictate the parameters and hardware needed. Please follow your local codes for any electrical or plumbing installations.

If your Streetside box will be free standing, we recommend you use ready-made supports, heavy angle iron, or square tubing embedded in concrete for the support posts. Remove the plastic plugs from the pre-drilled holes in the back of the box and use ½" carriage bolts with washers and nuts to mount the box to your support posts. The box can also be bolted to the side of an existing building using the same holes.

No exit holes have been drilled for the power or valve wiring. Your electrician will determine what is best for your installation and may prefer to hard wire these connections.

Your plumber will install the valve in your new or existing water line. The water valve is marked for direction of flow. It must be installed in a horizontal, upright position, protected from freezing and mounted low in the system to create backpressure against it. If not mounted in this manner, it may not shut off correctly. A gate valve is recommended ahead of the water valve to aid in cleaning and repair. The piping, valves, drains, and other devices such as back flow preventers, should be installed in accordance with local codes.

Loosen the screws on the ½" connector holding the incoming power wire and bring your wires from the solenoid valve in to the box. Connect them to the terminal strip using the empty spaces that correspond to the red and black wires already connected to the timer (forked connector ends furnished). If your machine is equipped with an automatic drain, wire both solenoids in parallel. Extra green wire from the solenoid is ground and can be connected to a bolt on the valve. CONNECT ALL WIRES COLOR TO COLOR.

Follow the instructions on the Timer Settings page to set the timer to deliver the amount of water you want to sell.
