Your Automatic Water Salesman will accept 250 inputs ($62.50), so in a practical sense, it will accept "any" amount.

This timer contains two sets of switches in one unit of ten switches. To move the proper switches to the "ON" position, use a pointed object such as a retracted ball-point pen. DO NOT USE A PENCIL. The switches turn "ON" to the right.

Timer Settings: Amount to be sold

The top seven switches (Time Per Coin) determine the length of time the water will run for each coin inserted. One second is the minimum and accuracy is +/-1%.

Determine the number of seconds the valve is to remain open. With a 2" line and pressure of 50 psi, water will flow at approximately 2 gallons per second. This will vary with valve sizes, length of run, etc.

Example: Water rate of $1.00 per 1000 gallons (250 gallons for 25¢). At 50 psi, it will take approximately 120 seconds (2 minutes) to deliver 250 gallons. To get 120 seconds, turn on switches "64", "32", "16" and "8". All other switches off.

Example: Water rate of $3.00 per 1000 gallons (84 gallons for 25¢). At 50 psi, it will take approximately 42 seconds to deliver 84 gallons. To get 42 seconds, turn on switches "32", "8", and "2". All other switches off.

In this way, the timer can be set to run up to 127 seconds (2 minutes, 7 seconds) in 1-second increments. This is the maximum run time per coin with all seven switches on. NOTE:  If all switches are in the off position, the machine will not run.

If a longer run times are required, other timer configurations are available although the setting accuracy will be diminished. Please contact the factory for more information.

Timer Settings: Minimum Sale

The bottom three switches (Coins To Start) determine how many coins must be inserted before the machine starts. Normally this is one. However, if a minimum sale is desired, this can be set for up to seven coins (inputs). Adding the switches together determines this amount.

Example: 50¢ minimum. Turn on the switch "2" (2 coins). "1" and "4" are left off.

Example: 75¢ minimum. Turn on switches "1" and "2"       (3 coins). Switch "4" is left off.

These settings can be readjusted at any time as your water rates go up or you wish to change the minimum sale. Over the years, we have found the average cost of water to be around $3.00 per 1000 gallons and have used this as one example. Remember, your city's water pressure and selling rates will determine the amount of time needed.
