What is the Automatic Water Salesman?Principally designed for cities selling water to bulk tank operators, our basic machine operates on quarters and will accept any number of inputs. It also allows for a programmable minimum amount of inputs to start operation. A 2" solenoid controlled valve is utilized and at 50 psi, a delivery minimum of 125 gpm can be expected. The machine will dispense any amount of water for a given sum. If water rates increase, this is easily adjusted by the seller. Click here to return to the questions.
How does the Automatic Water Salesman work?The basic Automatic Water Salesman operates on a time basis. When a coin is inserted the water valve opens. When the timer "times out" the water valve closes. Our "Cardtrol" and "Keytrol" systems register water sales by the gallon and customers are billed by the city. Click here to return to the questions.
Who can use the Automatic Water Salesman?The Automatic Water Salesman is principally designed for cities selling water to bulk tank operators, but many are in use as an adjunct to water districts, at campgrounds, elevators and roadside parks. Click here to return to the questions.
How is the Automatic Water Salesman typically installed?The basic Automatic Water Salesman is compact, easy to install and ready to plug into a standard 120-volt outlet. It mounts inside your building, protecting the money and the machine from weather and vandals. The coin chutes, reject wire and manual shut-off assembly extend through the wall for customer access. Building and piping are not furnished. Mounting wall thickness is needed for basic machine orders (i.e. 8" block wall) as customer access components are fabricated specifically for each machine. All other machines are furnished with the flush mount option and require a minimum 18" x 18" opening in the wall. What are the security features available with the Automatic Water Salesman?The Automatic Water Salesman mounts inside your building or in our Streetside Box, protecting the money and the machine from weather and vandals. A coin acceptor returns "slugs" or defaced coins. When the sale is complete, the unit resets and another coin starts a new cycle. To prevent excess overflow, delivery can be stopped at any time by pressing the manual shut-off switch. Our Streetside Box includes the flush-mount system, a padlocking lug and triangular keys to thwart break-ins. Click here to return to the questions.
